Mirror Maze in Petrin Park

3.6 ·

Wander into the Mirror Maze on Petřín hill, a wooden pavilion left over from the 1891 Prague Exhibition. Find your way through mirrored corridors, pull faces in the distorting mirrors and look at the mural of Prague in 1648.

📖

Full description

The Mirror Maze sits in a wooden, castle-like pavilion on Petřín hill, built for the 1891 Prague Exhibition. Inside, a short labyrinth of mirrored corridors leads to a hall of distorting mirrors and a mural depicting Prague's 1648 defence against Swedish troops.

Reviewers agree it is quick and compact, so it suits a short, light-hearted stop rather than a main attraction, with the funny-mirror photos a common highlight. The pavilion's exterior is well kept, and the uphill walk through the park adds to the outing.

Expect roughly half an hour including the mural.

Good to know

  • Combine it with the nearby Petřín Tower rather than making a separate trip
  • take the funicular if you want to skip the steep climb
  • keep expectations modest, as the maze is small.

Reviews

The price is alright, do not expect a lot though, the maze is very small. But if you're here I guess why not do it! Pretty fun, and the weird mirrors at the end can make some pretty funny photos!
