Strahov Monastery

4.5 ·

Climb to Strahov Monastery, a medieval hilltop complex above Prague Castle. Step into the Baroque church, then see the stucco-panelled Theological Hall and the celebrated library halls at your own pace.

📖

Full description

Strahov Monastery sits on the hill above Prague Castle and combines several sights under one roof: a Baroque church, the Theological Hall, the historic library and a gallery. The church is free to enter, while tickets for the other parts are bought at the information desk and priced by which sections you pick, a flexible system reviewers appreciate.

The library halls can be viewed but not entered, and visitors say there is usually enough time to take them in when the crowds are thin. Allow about 45 minutes for a visit that balances art, architecture and views.
