These Terms govern your access to and use of The Globe Map. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, Affiliate Disclosure and Content Disclaimer provide additional information about the Service. The Privacy Notice explains our processing activities; it is not a contract that you are asked to accept.
If you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory right that cannot lawfully be waived under the law applicable to you.
The Globe Map helps users discover places and bookable experiences, save places, create or generate city itineraries, view maps, and share or collaborate on trips. Recommendations may take account of information such as destination, dates, pace, interests, budget, traveller group, opening information, location, estimated travel time and availability.
The Globe Map is a planning and discovery service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we are not a travel agency, tour operator, activity provider, transport provider, venue, restaurant or booking platform. When you follow a third-party booking link, your booking and payment relationship is with that third party or the relevant activity supplier under their own terms.
Features, supported cities and data sources may change. We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary, subject to any mandatory consumer rights.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A person under 18 may not create or operate an account, including with parental or guardian authorisation.
You must provide accurate information, keep your login details confidential, and promptly notify us through our contact form or at theglobemap@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
You may not create an account for another person without authority, impersonate another person, sell or transfer your account, or use automated means to create accounts or manipulate engagement.
When creating an itinerary, you can select a visibility setting. The interface shows the current setting and its effect before you share or publish.
A private itinerary is intended to be accessible only to the account holder and authorised collaborators. It is not discoverable through public search or the public community area.
An itinerary set to “Anyone with the link” can be accessed by anyone who obtains the link. It is not intended for search-engine indexing or public discovery, but the link can be forwarded, copied or exposed by a recipient. Do not include information that would cause harm if the link were shared.
A public itinerary can be viewed and shared by anyone. Public itineraries may appear in community features. Under the current publication rule, a public itinerary may become eligible for search-engine indexing after it receives at least three likes. Search engines and third parties may retain cached copies after the itinerary is changed or removed.
You can change an itinerary's visibility through the available controls. A change applies prospectively and cannot guarantee deletion of copies already made by other users, search engines or archival services.
“User Content” includes itinerary titles and descriptions, notes, selections, images or other material that a user submits, publishes or shares through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, translate where you request a translated feature, and display your User Content only to operate, secure, improve and promote the Service in accordance with your chosen visibility setting. For public User Content, this licence includes displaying it in public community and search features. The licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except to the extent reasonably required for backups, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or material already shared by others.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the content and grant this licence. Do not submit personal data about another person without a lawful basis and their knowledge where required.

You can report suspected illegal, harmful or rights-infringing content by submitting our contact form or emailing theglobemap@gmail.com. A notice should identify the content, explain the reason, provide the relevant URL and include accurate contact details where required.
We may investigate, restrict visibility, remove content, suspend features or accounts, and preserve evidence where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or respond to a valid notice. Where required, we will explain our decision and provide an available review or complaint route. Repeated misuse of reporting tools may also lead to restrictions.
Place names, addresses, opening hours, images, ratings, review excerpts, map tiles and other information may originate from third parties, including Google Places, Mapbox, GetYourGuide, Viator, venues, activity providers and users. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Use of this material is subject to the relevant provider terms, attribution requirements and licences. You may not remove provider attribution or extract third-party datasets from the Service except where the law or the provider's terms allow it.
Information can be delayed, incomplete, translated, summarised or incorrect. Always verify time-sensitive details with the venue or booking provider.
Some links, buttons and widgets are affiliate links. If you click one and make a qualifying booking, The Globe Map may earn a commission, normally at no additional cost to you. GetYourGuide and Viator are current affiliate partners. Affiliate status may be used only as a secondary factor after traveller fit, explicit constraints and itinerary feasibility. Further details appear in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Prices, currencies, taxes, fees, cancellation terms and availability are determined by the third-party provider. Displayed information is indicative until confirmed on the provider's checkout page. The Globe Map does not receive or hold your booking payment unless we expressly state otherwise for a future product.
The Service, its design, software, original text, branding, selection and arrangement of content are owned by or licensed to Evan Faure, operating under the business name The Globe Map, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. “The Globe Map” and associated logos may not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement without permission.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial trip planning. No licence is granted to reproduce, publish, sell, reverse engineer or create a competing database from protected elements of the Service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
If you believe content infringes your rights, submit our contact form or email theglobemap@gmail.com with sufficient information to identify the work, the challenged content and the basis of your claim.
If you voluntarily provide ideas or feedback about the Service, you permit us to use them without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
We aim to provide a reliable Service but do not guarantee continuous or error-free availability. Maintenance, security events, supplier changes, internet failures and circumstances beyond reasonable control may cause interruptions.
We may update these Terms when the Service, our business model or the law changes. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. For material changes affecting registered users, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
The Service provides planning assistance and general travel information, not professional, safety, medical, legal or accessibility advice. The detailed limitations in our Content Disclaimer apply.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate third-party information, a supplier's act or omission, a user's content, a user's decision to disclose a link, or events beyond our reasonable control. We remain responsible where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law so provides.
For consumers, any limitation applies only to the extent it is fair, transparent and permitted by the mandatory law of the consumer's country.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time through the available account controls, our contact form, or by emailing theglobemap@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, a security threat, legal requirement, or discontinued Service. Where appropriate and lawful, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.
Provisions intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, liability, dispute and necessary licence provisions, remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the law of Germany, without depriving consumers residing elsewhere of mandatory protections available under their local law.

The courts with jurisdiction are determined by applicable mandatory law. No clause in these Terms requires a consumer to bring a claim in a forum that the law does not permit.
