Museum of Saint Anthony

Pause at the Museum of Saint Anthony, a calm space honouring Lisbon's most beloved saint. See objects and displays on his veneration, then step into the adjoining church.

📖

Full description

The Museum of Saint Anthony is a small museum dedicated to the devotion and veneration of Saint Anthony of Lisbon, also known as Anthony of Padua. It is attached to the church of the same name and is quiet, informative and usually free of queues, with no need to book tickets in advance.

Reviewers note it is especially rewarding for Portuguese speakers, as much of the interpretation is in the local language. Allow about 45 minutes, including a look inside the church.

Reviews

This is a beautiful church and it's definitely worth the stop. However if you're looking for the flower wall. It's not there anymore.. NO FLOWER WALL. (see photo). But please do go inside the church to enjoy its beauty and go downstairs to enjoy the history.
