Lisbon Cathedral

4.4 ·

Visit Lisbon Cathedral, a survivor of repeated earthquakes and rebuilds. Spend about 30 minutes inside examining its mixed architecture, side chapels, and paintings before heading into Alfama.

📖

Full description

Lisbon Cathedral, known as Sé de Lisboa, has been reconstructed many times after earthquakes, and the result mixes different architectural styles. Inside, visitors can see the chapels, paintings, and carved details, though some reviewers wished for more information included with the paid visit to the cloister and treasury areas.

The area just outside the entrance gets very crowded, particularly when trams and tour groups arrive. A typical visit lasts about 30 minutes and sits naturally within a walk through Alfama.

It costed 7 euros per adult, 6 for…
