Casa do Alentejo

4.2 ·

Step through the narrow doorway of Casa do Alentejo and climb into a richly decorated interior. Admire the Moorish-inspired halls and, if you stay, try traditional Portuguese dishes with local wine.

📖

Full description

Casa do Alentejo sits behind a small, easy-to-miss doorway, with a grand entrance hall and staircase that lead up to richly decorated rooms showing Moorish and wider European influences. It serves traditional Portuguese dishes and wine in a setting that visitors treat as much as a sight as a meal.

Reviews praise the dramatic interior and sense of surprise, while service pace and food quality draw more mixed comments, with some reporting long waits. It suits a brief look or a sit-down meal.

Lunch and dinner are the main opening windows.
