Estação do Rossio

4.5 ·

Pause at Estação do Rossio, where a decorative Neo-Manueline facade fronts one of Lisbon's busiest stations. Take in the architecture, linger over a coffee, or board a train toward Sintra.

📖

Full description

Estação do Rossio is a working railway station in the heart of Lisbon, known for its Neo-Manueline entrance and the cafés inside. Trains from here are the most direct way to reach Sintra, which keeps the concourse busy with day-trippers.

Reviewers highlight the architecture, the views, and the chance to stop for a coffee, while noting that platform seating is limited. It is open around the clock, free to enter, and a quick visit of about 15 minutes is enough to appreciate the building.
