Climb to the Garden of Philosophers, a hilltop spot of statues and city outlooks. Pause among the thinkers' sculptures and look out over the Danube as the light changes.
Full description
The Garden of Philosophers sits on a quiet hillside in District I, with statues of renowned thinkers set among the paths and a panorama over the Danube and the city. It is free and open at all hours, and the views are the main draw, especially around sunset when the city lights come on.
Reviewers note that the grounds themselves can look neglected, with graffiti and uneven paths, so it is best treated as a short 30-minute viewpoint stop rather than a polished garden.

Really disappointing.... such a shame as the statues are beautiful but the actual place where they are is uncared for, graffiti everywhere, unkempt pathways.... no one else was there when we visited...
