Full description
At the northern tip of Museum Island, the domed Wilhelmine-era Bode-Museum holds an extensive collection of European sculpture, Byzantine art, and one of the world's largest numismatic collections, with in-depth displays on sculptural techniques and materials alongside the finished works. A near-perfect must-see score, a perfect culture score, and a 4.5-star rating reflect a collection that easily rewards a half-day visit, and several reviewers specifically recommend pausing at the on-site café to take in the building's grandeur.
Its slightly lower hidden-gem score than some Museum Island neighbours suggests it's well-known among art lovers even if it draws less foot traffic than the Neues or Alte Nationalgalerie. It suits visitors with real interest in sculpture and decorative arts rather than a rushed once-over.

Reviews
Great and in-depth museum composed mostly of European sculptures, carvings and art. There are also some displays that cover the process and tools why which some of these art pieces were made. Was a great visit. I took about 2 hours to see everything and I was moving at a quicker pace.
