Breakfast
Breggs has won over reviewers who arrived planning to eat elsewhere, with more than one mentioning it as a fortunate change of plan from a different, more famous breakfast spot. Toppings are notably generous, with reviewers describing servings substantial enough to satisfy through the day. A 4.3 rating and a local score above its trendy score suggest a well-regarded, unpretentious breakfast destination rather than a design-led draw. It sits centrally in Mitte, making it an easy addition to a morning of sightseeing.

"Trying Breggs ended up being one of the best decisions I made in Berlin. I was actually planning to go to 44 Brekkie, but Breggs was closer to my accommodation so I gave it a shot. Arrived Sunday around 10am and managed to get a seat for myself. Ordered the Bacon Me Crazy and both the food and coffee were ready in about 12 minutes — totally worth the wait. The bread was soft with a slight sweetness, the eggs were fluffy, and the sauce + cheese + bacon combo was just ridiculously good. It honestly made me want to order another one immediately. Next time I’m in Berlin, that’s exactly what I’ll do. The place itself is very minimalist, which works well. Only small note: the staff member at the counter (the one with the very thin eyebrows — for lack of a better description) could maybe smile a little more. Eggs should be easy, sunny, and fun… but the vibe when I asked where the toilet was felt more like a Monday morning meeting 😋"
