"This is a restaurant favoured and recommended by locals in Rome. The atmosphere (Friday night) was lively and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, both the food and the service left a lot to be desired. I tried the fried zucchini, the meatballs, and the amatriciana on the recommendation of the waiter. The meatballs lacked salt and there was none on the table to add. The zucchini were heavy with oil and the batter was soggy. The rigatoni was chewy and on the wrong side of al dente, and the amatriciana sauce was also oily. The staff were friendly enough, but noticeably more friendly to the locals which left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I waited over 15 minutes to pay, because the person who brought my bill didn't explain I should pay at the counter on my way out. I also left most of my pasta and the waiter did not ask if everything was ok with the food. Such a shame my last meal in Rome missed the mark."
