Food
Aroma occupies a rooftop position with a view straight onto the Colosseum that reviewers repeatedly describe as unmatched anywhere else in the city, making it a natural pick for a milestone dinner with a genuine wow factor. The cooking itself gets more uneven marks than the setting, with at least one couple noting the food didn't quite match the spectacular view despite the overall evening still being memorable. At 4.1 from over 1,600 reviews, premium pricing, and among the highest aesthetic scores in this batch, it's best approached as a view-first fine-dining experience, book it for the Colosseum outlook and go in with tempered expectations for the food matching that scenery exactly.

"Not my first Michelin starred restaurant experience, but the location beats all the others! There is simply no better view to enjoy such a fantastic meal looking at the Colosseum around sunset. We went there for my partner’s birthday and it was so romantic! The restaurant is on the top floor of the building overlooking Rome’s most famous historical site. The staff were incredibly nice, and the atmosphere was private and elegant. Now the meals- absolutely delicious. I have no idea what they make their doughs of, but it is something magical. I am not a fan of bread but this one made me a fan. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the seasonal truffle tasting menu as we went rather later in the day but we chose the meat one and we absolutely loved it! Delicious meals and awesome presentation. I think the photos speak for themselves. I will be returning to Rome soon, hopefully I get to eat at Aroma again!"
