Spring Restaurant

4.6 (758)$$$ · Expensive

Spring occupies a grand room within Somerset House, and its refined European menu — dishes like agnolotti, sea bass, and lamb chops come up in reviews — is served with the kind of polish that suits a set pre-theatre meal as well as a full evening out. The wine list gets a specific mention as a strength worth exploring. At 4.6 stars and expensive pricing, it works well for couples or groups combining dinner with a show nearby, or simply wanting an elegant lunch in one of London's grander buildings. Its high aesthetic score reflects the setting as much as the food.

What people say

"We went to this restaurant as a pre theatre meal. We had the set meal which was tasty. They offered bread before the 4 courses which was great as we were hungry. The portions were not as big as I had hoped. The 3rd course was a fish curry with monk fish, this was delicious. It was quite spicy which the staff did not warn us about. The service was good through the meal, but at times the staff were in a rush to fill water glasses. The food was always brought out at the same time which was good. Overall a good meal, but a few areas could have been better. Most of the party had cocktails which they enjoyed."
