Bonheur by Matt Abé

4.5 (51)$$$$ · Premium

Bonheur occupies the space once home to Le Gavroche, one of London's most historically important French restaurants, and reviewers who've tried both suggest the new kitchen holds its own against that legacy. Dishes like beef tartare and lobster with a rich sauce get specific early praise, and the restaurant's low review count relative to its scores suggests it's still a relatively new, under-the-radar opening rather than an established name. At 4.5 stars and premium pricing, it suits an evening for couples or small groups interested in catching an ambitious new fine-dining restaurant before it becomes more widely known. Its comparatively low must-see score paired with a strong hidden-gem score reflects that early-discovery status.

What people say

"We had dinner here last night and the food was amazing! The beef dishes (tartar and main was excellent). My partners favorite was the lobster with a delicious rich sauce and the dessert was a standout. Service was excellent with very friendly non-pretentious staff. My favorite thing was that I can see the “dream” tasting menu was well thought through from start to finish. I was so full by the time I got to the main, but salad side made the dish so refreshing and the dessert wasn’t also light I couldn’t stop eating it. Thank you team! We still have our petit fours to dig into today!"
