Reasons to go
Full description
Designed by John Nash and completed in 1827, Marble Arch was originally built as the state entrance to Buckingham Palace before being relocated to its current spot near Hyde Park and Oxford Street in 1851 when it proved too narrow for state coaches. Standing at 4.4 with over 23,000 reviews, it's regarded as a striking piece of history now somewhat swallowed by heavy traffic and, as several recent reviewers note, sometimes obscured by construction work around the surrounding public realm project.
It's a brief, free stop best suited to shoppers already on Oxford Street or walkers entering Hyde Park from its northeastern corner rather than a dedicated destination.

Reviews
Marble Arch is a beautiful and peaceful landmark, but unfortunately the arch itself is often covered by ongoing construction work. As a result, tourists don't get to see its full beauty or take memorable photos with it. It's disappointing to visit such an iconic place and leave without truly experiencing it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
