Teatr im. Juliusza Słowackiego w Krakowie

4.8 ·

Admire the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, a Belle Epoque landmark in Krakow's Old Town. Catch a play or concert beneath its ornate Neo-Baroque interiors, or simply take in the grand facade.

📖

Full description

The Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, opened in 1893, is one of Krakow's most elegant stage venues, a showpiece of Eclectic and Neo-Baroque architecture modelled on major European opera houses. It dates from the Austro-Hungarian period and still stages theatrical performances, concerts and other events, with budget-friendly tickets.

Visitors praise the building as much as the programme. Part of the venue has been under renovation, and one reviewer could photograph only the side of the building, so check what is open before going.

It suits couples and architecture lovers.
