Full description

The Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Cross is an active church in the centre of Stare Miasto, open daily and free to enter. Visitors describe a calm, devotional atmosphere and a more impressive interior than the exterior suggests.

Reviews mention opportunities for adoration and mass, and relics of figures such as Pope John Paul II and Saint Charbel are kept here. With a typical visit of around 15 minutes and little walking required, it fits easily between other Old Town sights as a quiet stop away from the busier basilicas.
