Slip into St. Adalbert's, one of Poland's oldest churches, right on the Main Market Square. Spend a few minutes spotting the Romanesque wall fragments beneath the Baroque dome.

📖

Full description

St. Adalbert's Church stands at the southeastern corner of Krakow's Main Market Square and is considered one of the oldest sacred sites in Poland, traditionally tied to St.

Adalbert's preaching. Its simple Romanesque structure carries a Baroque dome, and inside visitors can see fragments of Romanesque walls.

Reviewers call it small but historically significant and worth a few minutes. Entry is free and a stop takes about 20 minutes, which makes it an easy detour while crossing the square.

Reviews

A small church, located in Rynek Glowny/Main Square. Quite simple from an architectural point of view, quite beautiful interior. Worth a few minutes to go inside.
