Explore Rosenborg Castle, Copenhagen's Renaissance royal palace in the heart of the King's Garden. Walk through period royal chambers and see the Danish crown jewels and regalia up close.

📖

Full description

Rosenborg is a Dutch Renaissance palace set within the King's Garden, combining a pleasant green setting with a museum interior. Inside, visitors see richly furnished royal rooms, the royal regalia and the Danish crown jewels, which reviewers describe as exceptionally well displayed.

Entry runs on timed tickets and the rooms can feel crowded at peak times, so planning matters. The exterior and the gardens are enjoyable even for those who cannot get inside.

Most visits take around 75 minutes, making it a manageable but rewarding cultural stop in the city centre.

Reviews

The gardens are amazing and also the castle from outside looks very nice. I’m giving a 3* rating becos I was disappointed that even though I was there by 3 pm, I was not let in. I’m told it was sold out for the day 😟 But outside garden was splendid and castle looks good too. See the pictures. Place looks beautiful…
