Full description

The Hungarian Parliament is one of Budapest's defining silhouettes, a Gothic Revival complex on the Pest bank with spires, a central dome and a long riverside facade. Visits are by ticketed tour, taking in the grand staircase, gilded halls and ceiling decoration, and the chamber housing the Hungarian crown jewels.

Reviewers praise the interior as even more impressive than the exterior, and it is best seen from across the river as well. Tours must be booked ahead and follow security checks, with the building closed during official sessions and events.
