Batthyány tér sits on the Buda side of the Danube directly across from the Hungarian Parliament, which makes it one of the best spots for photographing the building from the water's edge. The square combines a market hall and an 18th-century baroque church with a metro station and other transport links, so it works as both a viewpoint and a practical hub.

Visitors walking down from the Bastion arrive right at the square, and many head left along the water for a straighter view of Parliament. It is especially atmospheric in the evening, when the building glows.

I really loved this location! I walked down from the Bastion and arrived right at the square, which has a great market, plenty of transport options, a metro station, and is just steps away from the Danube promenade. Super convenient and lively place.
