📖

Full description

CINEMATEK is the Royal Belgian Film Archive's public home, combining screenings, a film library, lectures and an archive of around 70,000 titles. The programming is described by visitors as top notch and the ticket prices low, making it a favourite with locals and film lovers.

It operates a strict punctuality policy: late arrivals are not admitted, which some visitors found frustrating, so plan to arrive with time to spare. Screenings run from the afternoon into the late evening, and a typical visit takes about two hours.

It appeals to couples and culture seekers wanting an authentic local evening.

Reviews

arrived 4 minutes late and I wasn’t allowed to get in. i feel it’s pretty snob to do that as you’re already targeting your public to a segment that is going to be intrinsically respectful and self aware enough to try to not disturb when getting into the cinema late
