The ROOF

3.9 (309)$$$ · Expensive

The ROOF sits atop a hotel in Ciutat Vella, drawing visitors up by elevator for a rooftop terrace with sweeping views over the old town. The setting and view are the main draw, and groups often linger for an hour or more soaking it in. Reviews are mixed, though, with several visitors — including some not staying at the hotel — noting a cool reception and inconsistent service. It's worth going for the view, with expectations set accordingly for a premium price point.

What people say

"Didn’t stay at the hotel but came for dinner at the rooftop. The hosts downstairs weren’t welcoming so that was underwhelming coz I’ve stayed at the edition in Iceland and their service was phenomenal all around. The staff upstairs was amazing the food was incredible the cost didn’t surprise me because it’s the edition. I’d recommend the edition overall the only thing that needed improvement is the friendliness of the staff downstairs coz they are the first point of contact for guests to start with an underwhelming experience."
