Full description

The Museum of Greek Folk Musical Instruments "Fivos Anoyanakis" holds roughly 1,200 traditional Greek instruments dating from the 18th century to the present. Headphones let visitors listen to audible excerpts for almost every instrument, so you hear what you see, and descriptions are in both Greek and English.

Reviewers praise the friendly staff and the listening stations, with some spending hours revisiting the recordings, while others finish in about half an hour. Musicians sometimes play outside, adding to the atmosphere.

Facilities include bathrooms, and the long daily opening hours make it easy to fit in.
