Climb to the Beethoven Pasqualatihaus in the Innere Stadt, a quiet apartment once lived in by the composer. View documents, art and personal items, and learn about his life at your own pace.

📖

Full description

The Pasqualatihaus is a former Beethoven apartment in the Innere Stadt, now a small museum with documents, art and personal items from his life. Reviewers describe the apartment as ordinary-looking but spacious for one person, and praise the friendly attendant who answers questions.

The entrance is hard to find, on the fourth floor of the last building, so look carefully. It is quiet, with no crowds, which allows a slow visit of about 30 minutes.

It is closed on Mondays and breaks for lunch on Saturdays.

Reviews

Such a nice experience, getting to see one of Beethovens actual places. The attendant was very friendly and helpful. He told us al about beethoven and answered all our questions easily. My one issue with this place would be that it is more about the people in Beethovens life than the man himself. Would be nicer if…
