Pavilhão Chinês

4.4 ·

Discover Pavilhão Chinês, a museum-like Lisbon bar hidden in a former grocery store. Ring the bell, find a table among the collections and sip a drink surrounded by thousands of toys.

📖

Full description

Pavilhão Chinês occupies an old grocery store and is laid out as five rooms filled with collections, including toys from the two world wars and a huge array of action figures. Entry is by buzzer, with staff deciding when to open the door.

Reviewers find it eccentric and enjoyable, though service can feel a little formal. Drinks are the excuse to browse the displays at a leisurely pace, and its distinctive character makes it one of Lisbon's most talked-about bars for a first-night or late-night drink.

Reviews

Interesting pub displaying a collection of toys including the largest collection of action men I’ve ever seen! Service a little stuffy with bell/ let me in if they ‘like the look of you’ vibe. Worth a visit if you are up that part of town - the retro museum bar is surrounded by quality local restaurants attended by…
