📖

Full description

Feira da Ladra is Lisbon's oldest market, running only on Tuesdays and Saturdays and covering a large area packed with vendors. Stalls sell secondhand items, antiques, handmade crafts and souvenirs, and reviewers say you can easily spend hours wandering.

It tends to be crowded, and there are plenty of food places around the market for a break. The atmosphere and variety are what draw visitors, from jewellery to one-off finds in corner shops.

A typical visit lasts about an hour, though many linger longer, and the surrounding terrain involves moderate walking.

Reviews

Very awesome place to spend a few hours on a Tuesday or Sunday and grab a bargain. Most people still use it as its original purpose of selling second hand stuff, but now more and more businesses are ruining the fair and make it into more of a tourist trap by selling overpriced stuff they could sell elsewhere. Still…
