Head to Dynamic Earth, a family science attraction at the foot of Holyrood Park. Travel from the Big Bang to today through hands-on exhibits, dinosaur displays and planetarium shows.

📖

Full description

Dynamic Earth is a science attraction beside Holyrood Park that guides visitors through the history of the planet, from the Big Bang to the present day. The visit combines interactive and hands-on exhibits, dinosaur displays, presentations and planetarium shows.

Reviewers praise it as a good fit for children and families, though some feel it is pricey for what it offers, so expectations are best set as a family outing rather than a deep science museum. A visit takes around two hours, and the walk up to the entrance is part of the experience.

It is closed on Mondays.

Reviews

Incredible experience. We only had enough time to see one show in the planetarium but was absolutely worth the quick visit. It was easy to get to, pretty cool walk up the doors, the staff inside were so very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!!
