St. Audoen's Park

4.5 ·

Slip into St. Audoen's Park, a quiet pocket of Dublin where the medieval city wall rises behind the benches. Wander past the old gate, try the humming rock and rest before moving on.

📖

Full description

St. Audoen's Park lies within the grounds of the church of the same name, near Christchurch, and keeps visible pieces of the old city: sections of the medieval wall and an old gate.

Reviewers mention benches set directly in front of the wall, a so-called humming rock, and a calm atmosphere despite the central location. It is free and needs only about 20 minutes, which makes it an easy pause between bigger sights.

It rewards visitors who like quiet, lesser-known corners of Dublin's history.

Reviews

Located within the grounds of the church with the same name, is this lovely park with seating, some quirky things to see the humming rock, and the old walls and gate, a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. the church itself is as old as the hills and is worth a visit, there is also toilets.
