Full description

St Michan's is a Church of Ireland place of worship on the north side of the Liffey, with a tower and a long history behind its walls. Its draw for visitors is the guided crypt tour, where the burial vaults contain preserved remains.

Reviewers consistently praise the guides, calling the experience unlike anything else in the city and rating it alongside Dublin's biggest historic sites. A visit is short, around 30 minutes, and fits easily between other stops in the Arran Quay area.

Opening is limited to set hours on weekdays.

Reviews

This was my favorite church tour in Dublin! Our tour guide, Tom, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and entertaining! The crypts were like nothing else you will experience in the city! I definitely recommend making time to go. It's a short walk from Jameson and other popular locations!
