See the Four Courts, the domed courthouse standing on the north bank of the Liffey. Admire the building's classical facade and dome, then continue along the quays to nearby sights.

📖

Full description

The Four Courts is a grand domed building on the northern bank of the River Liffey, built in the late 1700s and still housing the main courts of Ireland. Its riverside position places it near Christ Church Cathedral and the Brazen Head pub, a short walk from the centre.

Visitors mostly come to admire the exterior and the dome, and reviewers also mention a clean interior and helpful, knowledgeable staff despite heavy footfall. Entry is free during weekday hours, and a quick look takes about 15 minutes.

Reviews

Interesting court building with a dome on top. Located right on the northern side of the river Liffey. A bit outside the center but close to Christchurch Cathedral and the Brazen Head, the oldest Pub in Ireland.
