Explore the Copenhagen War Museum inside Christian IV's centuries-old arsenal. Browse cannons, muskets, models and modern military kit, following stories told in both Danish and English.

📖

Full description

Krigsmuseet occupies the arsenal built by Christian IV in the early 1600s, and the building itself is part of the appeal. Inside, the collection runs from old cannons and muskets to modern military gear, with models and uniforms along the way.

Reviewers praise the well-told stories in Danish and English, helpful staff and the second floor in particular, though one found the soldiers exhibit a little staged. About an hour suffices for most visitors, and it works for history lovers and anyone curious about how warfare shaped Denmark.

Reviews

The soldiers exhibit was kind of contrived. Not bad, but not really authentic either. They did however, have a good collection of military gear, weapons, and models. If you really like that kind of stuff it might be worth it
