The Church of Saint Mary Magdalene is a ruin in Buda, its restored late-Gothic tower the main surviving part after wartime bombing. The bells chime on the hour, and for a small fee visitors can climb the tower.

Reviewers mention that the lower level has banners telling the history in chronological order, with further stairs leading up to a panoramic view of the city. It is a compact stop of around twenty minutes that pairs naturally with a Castle Hill walk.

Pretty good stair climb, that had a traffic light! The "first" floor had banners that were interesting and shared the history in chronological order, while enjoying the views. Further stairs up led to more incredible views over much of the area.
