Bambi Café

4.4 ·

Step into Bambi Café, a district II classic where the interior seems frozen in another era. Order toasts, sausages or a slice of cake, wash it down with fresh lemonade and watch the neighbourhood go by.

📖

Full description

Bambi Café is an unpretentious neighbourhood cafe in Budapest's second district where the decor, from ornamental table covers to old-style chairs, benches and floors, feels largely untouched by time. Reviewers praise the smiling, helpful staff, inexpensive toasts and sausages, cake slices, good beer and a lemonade made with real lemons.

People-watching is a big part of the appeal. Budget-friendly prices and a local, solo-friendly crowd make it an easy place for a slow breakfast or a coffee break of around 45 minutes.

Reviews

The staff is very kind and helpful (and smiling :)). Great vibes, cheap but good food (we had toasts and sausages, and a slice of cake). Loved the furniture. The best lemonade in town (real lemons).
