Food
Paco Meralgo Restaurante has built a big reputation in Eixample's tapas scene, with the octopus paired with cured pork earning particular praise from repeat visitors. At 4.5 stars from over 6,100 reviews, it's clearly popular, though a share of reviewers arrive with high expectations set by its reputation and come away finding the food merely decent rather than outstanding. Its price sits in the expensive tier for tapas, reflecting demand as much as exceptional quality. It suits diners curious about a well-known name, tempered with realistic expectations.

What people say
"The food was great. Had to come a second time to try the rest of the menu. The octopus with pork cured meat is a must try. The tuna with siracha is incredible. The spicy meatball, a must try. The croquettes were good. Also had the rabbit ribs, pretty good, but barely any meat. The beef garlic was good, but the other food was definitely more of a highlight."
