Food
Gresca is known among Barcelona's dining scene as a chef's favourite, with a kitchen led on letting quality ingredients — quail and beef brain among the dishes reviewers single out — speak for themselves rather than over-styling the plate. At 4 stars from over 2,400 reviews and a must-see score of 93, it draws serious food travellers, with front-row counter seats offering a direct view of the kitchen team at work. The rating sits a touch lower than comparable tasting-menu restaurants in this set, reflecting a more variable dining experience night to night. It's a good fit for diners who want to watch the cooking as much as eat the result.

What people say
"A fantastic meal from start to finish. We had front-row seats to the kitchen, making it a joy to watch the team at work. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout. Standouts included the incredibly fresh oysters, tuna and tomato salad, pil pil cod, grilled chicken, and mackerel. Even the grilled aubergine and zucchini pie were full of flavour. Save room for dessert- the French toast and chocolate mousse are both worth it. A lively neighbourhood spot with confident cooking that we’d happily return to."
