Boadas Cocktails opened its doors in 1933 near Las Ramblas, founded by Miquel Boadas after learning the trade at Havana's legendary El Floridita, and it holds the distinction of being Barcelona's oldest cocktail bar. The Art Deco room still runs on classic technique, with bartenders shaking and stirring in traditional style and riffing on canon drinks like the Paper Plane with their own daily specials.

Its long pedigree and old-school craft give it a stronger sense of cocktail history than most of the city's newer bars. Reservations are recommended, as the small space fills up with both tourists and cocktail purists.
