A roughly four-and-a-half-hour trip that leaves Athens at 3:00 PM and follows the coastal road past Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza. An archaeologist guide provides historical and mythological commentary on the air-conditioned bus.

At Cape Sounion you get about an hour of independent time around the Temple of Poseidon and its cliff-top setting. A sunset option times the visit for the evening light over the Aegean before the return.
