Wander through Stadtpark, the English-style public garden at the edge of Vienna's centre. Cross its ornate bridges, find the gilded Johann Strauss statue, and follow the paths past flower beds and the pond.

📖

Full description

Stadtpark is an English-style public park in the Innere Stadt, created in the 19th century and often described as Vienna's first public park. Its landscaping combines manicured lawns, flower beds, a central pond, and a stretch of river crossed by ornate bridges.

Among its best-known features are the Blumenuhr floral clock and the gilded statue of Johann Strauss, a favourite photo stop. Open around the clock and free to enter, it suits a leisurely forty-five-minute walk and is well placed for combining with nearby central sights.

Reviews

Beautiful park, great place to just chill. The statues were beautiful. Would visit again, a really beautiful detour if you’re in the area.
