Cross the Danube to Donaupark, a sprawling green space dominated by the Donauturm. Wander its rose and herb gardens, circle the lake, and follow the paths that wind between lawns and ponds.
Full description
Donaupark sits in Donaustadt on the far side of the Danube from the city centre, and ranks among Vienna's largest parks. It combines rose, lily, herb and moorland gardens with a lake, a pond with a bridge, and walking, running and cycling tracks.
The 250-metre Donauturm rises above the grounds, and the park also offers playgrounds, sports facilities and weekend concerts. Dog owners will find waste-bag stations along the paths.
Reviewers describe it as easy to reach from the inner city and varied enough to fill an hour or more on foot.
