Step into Andrea Zanzotto Park, a compact green pocket in the middle of Mestre. Stroll the formal garden in front of Villa Querini, then wander the softer, romantic plantings behind it.
Full description
Andrea Zanzotto Park sits in the centre of Mestre, on the mainland side of Venice, and wraps around Villa Querini. The front is laid out as a formal garden, while the back is planted in a looser, more romantic style.
Benches and a children's play area make it a practical pause for locals. Visitor opinion is split: some praise it as a refined, tidy retreat, while others found the surroundings uncomfortable at certain times.
A short 30-minute stop suits it best.

Reviews
Avoid this "park". We walked in and rapidly out whilst exploring Mestre. Got looked up and down by a couple of Africans on the way in and instantly saw multiple groups of young men some wearing no shirts and drinking, all checking us out awkwardly. This place looked more like a prison yard than a public green…
