Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol

4.5 ·

Step inside the Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol, a living parish church in Seville's old town. Look for the Moorish-influenced architecture and, if you time it right, glimpse local devotion in action.

📖

Full description

The Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol is a working parish church in Seville's Casco Antiguo, valued by visitors for its Mudéjar-style features that blend Moorish and Christian elements. It remains in everyday use: reviewers describe joining masses, and a large procession leaving on Spain's national day.

Because worship takes priority, opening hours are split between morning and evening. It suits travellers who want a local, less-visited church rather than a major monument, and a short stop fits easily into an old-town walk.

Reviews

I just happened to be passing on the Spain national day and this lovely church had a big procession leaving. The roads were closed by police a nice crowd of perhaps 1,000. The huge shining devotional statue was sarting to move off slowly through the crowd with a march infront. Beautiful sight
