Convento de Santa Inés de Sevilla

Step into Convento de Santa Inés, a calm convent where the nuns' baking is sold from a courtyard window. Pick up an assortment of homemade biscuits and glance at the murals on your way through.

📖

Full description

Convento de Santa Inés is a long-established convent in the Casco Antiguo whose nuns sell homemade biscuits and sweets from a window off the courtyard. Reviewers note that it is not obvious from the street that sweets are sold inside, so the cue is simply to step in through the entrance.

An assortment is easy to buy, with polvorones singled out as a favourite. Beyond the baking, visitors can look at the murals and artwork inside at no charge, though signage is in Spanish only.

A short, quiet stop of about 15 minutes.

Reviews

Wonderful experience and not too busy when we visited. Not sure it's obvious from the street that there are sweets for sale inside, we ventured in as we saw someone holding a bag at the entrance.
