Tor Marancia was an unremarkable post-war public housing district until the 2015 Big City Life project commissioned a group of international street artists to cover its apartment blocks in large-scale murals, turning ordinary residential facades into an outdoor gallery. The murals address social and human themes rather than purely decorative ones, giving the estate a distinct identity it lacked before.
