Reasons to go

📖

Full description

Giardino degli Aranci sits on the site of a medieval fortress and takes its name from the orange trees planted here centuries ago by Dominican monks, whose basilica still stands beside the garden. Its terrace offers one of Rome's finest free views, taking in St Peter's dome across the rooftops, which makes it especially popular at sunset.

Just around the corner, the famous keyhole view of St Peter's through the Knights of Malta gate adds another reason visitors combine a stop here with a walk around the hill.

Reviews

Best sunset views in Rome! Beautiful and tranquil place to enjoy a nice picnic. The only point there is no trash bins in the premises and people left their trash behind. Is pet friendly
