Spanish Synagogue

4.5 ·

Discover the Spanish Synagogue, the most colourful interior in Prague's Jewish Quarter. Walk beneath its Moorish-style decoration, follow the audio points and see the history exhibition upstairs.

📖

Full description

The Spanish Synagogue belongs to the Jewish Museum in Prague and stands out for its Moorish-style design, with a richly coloured interior that surprises visitors after the plain exterior. Inside there are audio points and an upstairs room with historical displays on the walls, which one reviewer found very warm in summer.

The building also hosts concerts, and visitors describe returning in the evening for music in the same space. It is typically visited within about 30 minutes as part of a Jewish Quarter circuit, and it is closed on Saturdays.

Reviews

This Spanish Synagogue was the best out of all the places listed in the photo. A lot of color and audio areas. There was a room upstairs with nice history on the wall, where it was so hot that i had to give up reading after a few minutes and leave.
