Queen Anne's Summer Palace

4.6 ·

Slip away from the castle crowds to Queen Anne's Summer Palace. Walk the terraced garden paths past the royal fountain and take in the Renaissance building facing Prague Castle.

📖

Full description

Queen Anne's Summer Palace is a 16th-century Renaissance building in the gardens opposite Prague Castle, part of the castle complex and therefore guarded and subject to seasonal entry times. Today it is used for art exhibits, but most visitors come for the surroundings: a royal fountain, multi-terraced walking paths and a quiet garden with views toward the castle.

Reviewers describe a small entrance on the left when walking down from the castle that feels like a forest path, leading along a stream and through a tunnel before the palace appears. It suits a calm 20-minute pause between the busier castle sights.

Reviews

Great place to sit and relax with a view of beautiful garden. When you come down from the Prague castle there is a little entrance on the left that looks like a forest hike , it’s a 5-10 minute walk to the garden
