Lucerna Palace

4.3 ·

Step inside Lucerna Palace, a hidden Art Deco passage just off Wenceslas Square. Stroll its interior to admire the architecture, then browse the cafe, shops and music venue.

📖

Full description

Lucerna Palace, completed in 1921, is a passage-style building in the New Town that holds restaurants, shops, a theatre and a music club. Walking tours often include it for its Art Deco interiors, and it is easy to overlook from the street.

Visitors describe it as quiet and well kept, with a cafe in the main hall and a small venue with good sound and an intimate feel. Entering the passage is free, and a short visit is enough to see the architecture.

Reviews

This is like a hidden place you can easily miss. We were on the audio walking tour of Rick Steve and this was part of the tour. Do visit this mall to enjoy the art deco from 1930s. The Lucerna cafe looked interesting but we did not had the time to visit. The Wenceslas riding upside down horse is the highlight for me…
