Jindřišská Tower

4.6 ·

Climb Jindřišská Tower, a Gothic landmark rising above the New Town. Browse the small exhibition on the way up and look out over Prague's rooftops from the observation deck.

📖

Full description

Jindřišská Tower is a 15th-century Gothic belltower near Wenceslas Square that now combines a small exhibition, a restaurant and bar, and an observation deck. An elevator serves the upper levels, so the climb is optional, and visitors note that it tends to be uncrowded.

The views over the city are pleasant, though some travellers feel higher or more famous viewpoints offer more. The history displays are compact, making it a short stop of under an hour.

Reviews

A fairly authentic building in the center of the capital, with a touch of old-world charm, but when it comes to enjoying the view from above (and in general), it’s far better to invest your time and money climbing the magnificent, historic tower of St. Vitus Cathedral.
