See Ponte da Arrábida, the broad concrete arch that spans the Douro. Admire it from the water's edge or, if you want a different angle, join a guided climb to the top.
Full description
Ponte da Arrábida crosses the Douro with a single massive concrete arch, and reviewers praise its simple lines and the way it dominates the river view from a distance and up close. Beyond viewing it from the banks or crossing it, a local company offers guided climbs up the arch, with time for photos at the top and a treat as part of the experience, according to reviews.
It connects both sides of the river and works well at golden hour or in the evening. A viewing stop alone takes around 15 minutes.

The bridge climb is a really fun experience. You climb to the top if the arch and then back down with time for photos at the top( and a surprise treat) I didn't see it mentioned on any of the travel videos I watched about Porto- it deserves to be better known. Lovely river views from the top.
